The North Ward is recognized for its stately older homes, well established business area and four large churches with elegant steeples that can be seen throughout the city. It is known for its proximity to the picturesque Couchiching Beach Park, with 14.5 acres that include sandy beach areas as well as the town dock. Each summer, the Couchiching Park attracts a large amount of locals and visitors for many of its special events.
